Our Mission
Music is our passion. We love sharing our music with the community, but we also love helping the younger generation become great musicians.
The band has two important ways that we help young music students in Haywood and surrounding counties of Western North Carolina.

Practice Schedule
We practice weekly on Thursday evenings from 7-9pm at Long's Chapel in Waynesville, NC.

HaywoodCommunity Band
Band Members
The Haywood Community Band is made up of people from all walks of life. Many have begun to play again after years of time off.
The band plays a variety of music from swing and jazz to folk tunes, marches, and arrangements of classical masterpieces.

Concerts
We now perform at a few venues throughout the season.
Our May concert will be held indoors at Long's Chapel this season.
We are still at Maggie Valley Pavilion June through September.
These are open air outdoor concerts. We perform rain or shine. Concerts begin at 6:30pm
The band also gives a concert on the courthouse lawn in Waynesville on the 4th of July, a shoreline concert at Lake Junaluska in September,
and an end of season program in November.
