(Lonely Instruments for Needy Kids)

The Haywood Community Band collects used band instruments to repair for distribution to area school band programs. These instruments are for children whose families are unable to afford the purchase or rental of an instrument.
The Haywood Community Band currently works with band directors in schools across several western North Carolina counties.
Since 2006 when the program began, the band has repaired or purchased over 100 instruments.
